Give Thanks.
Zach Bingaman
I’m thankful for the bright blue sky
I dream of soaring high.
I’m living life, not just passing by.
You live, you learn, you fly.
I’m thankful for the air I breathe.
God made this air, just for me.
If it wasn’t for air, I would be an absentee.
Thank God for the air I breathe.
I’m thankful for my wife,
Not now but in my life.
Hopefully we live without the strife,
But I will live my life.
Let’s all give thanks!
Give Thanks.

My Diamond Poem
Cheerleading
Tough, pain
Stretching, tumbling, aching
Muscle, mats, sweat, tracks
Falling, running, tackling
Tired, boring

Big Rival Game
Tonight, our school has a game against a big rival. We have almost the same colors so we also have the competition of who wears them better. I am really excited because the school we are playing is my old school. I will see all my old friends, although I will be on the sidelines cheering for our amazing Devils to win. Comment or email me and let me know what traditions you have with your rivals. What do you do to get pumped? Also, homecoming has recently happened or is happening. How was it? What were some stunts or interesting moves to your homecoming dance? If you have any questions, just comment or email me!

Finished Radiate
I have completed the book “Radiate” This book has many twist and turns, not just in the plot, but also in the emotion. One minute you could be laughing out loud and the next minute you might want to cry. “Radiate” was based on Marley Gibson’s real life experience. Since it was based on a true story there are true facts about the cancer, the care for her, and the life outside the cancer. She does an amazing job with the names of all her medicines and cancer diagnostics. Also, this book doesn’t get boring because it is up-to-date with the way the world works and communicates. Lastly, there were many good quotes and life lessons that I will take from this book. This book can give any person, cheerleader or not, a real step-back in life and realize what they have. I couldn’t put it down. Thanks Marley Gibson for an amazing read.

The Monster
The Monster called my back handspring stepped into my path tonight. The nerves took over my body and everything began to shake. I fell once, wimped out by doing just a roundoff with no back handspring twice, and actually flipped 2 times. I can't wait till Sunday to attempt the monster again.

Release the stress!
Finally I have been relieved from some stress. I do believe that the projects were a big part of that. Nervous about tumbling on sunday afternoon, yes, but I have a lot to do this weekend, so whatever happens, happens. I have a 4 day weekend and it is going to rock! :)

Stress.
I have had a lot of stress since about monday. It seems that everything in my life just changed. I was excited about learning new tumbling passes and now I don't even feel like showing up. A lot of big projects and things are coming up and I just feel overwhelmed. I believe that it is all nerves, but I can't bring myself to go with that. I have had headaches constantly and an upset stomach. These things may be caused by the nervousness inside me, but they would have to be big nervous fits. I will keep you up to date on my flow, but I don't know how it will go.

Competition Practice
My first practice went well. We worked on jumps and tumbling. I had a roundoff back handspring, but I am in the process of mastering it. If your a cheerleader, you know that tumbling does not just happen. Tumbling takes time and practice. Tonight at practice, I fell on my head. I have a goose bump on my head and a sore shoulder and spine. Its ok because you have to get back up and keep going. I believe that I WILL master this monster! :)

My First Competition Practice.
Later
today, I will have my first competition practice. Competition cheer
has been a dream of mine for a long time, and now I finally get to live that
dream. Being in royal blue and green for my new team will make me happy. We
have a long time until our first competition, but we have to begin early to
master our routines to win 1st place. Since this is my first
practice, I also have to meet a whole new team. Should I be nervous? Is competition
the right place for me? I think I will be fine, but you never know. I do
believe competition cheer is going to make my schedule more compact, but it
keeps me busy and out of trouble. People say when you go to cheer practice you
can relieve all your life’s stress and troubles. Adding another day of my week
to cheer means more days to trash my troubles and worries. Will I have to worry
about my routine? If cheer is a stress reliever, what happens if I get stressed
at cheer? I don’t know all the answers but would love to know what everyone
thinks. Comment or send me an email at zachbingaman@gmail.com.
Later Gators!

An Amazing Read!
I am not a big reader, but when I heard about the
book Radiate by Marley Gibson, I was
interested to find a book about cheerleading that really showed what cheerleaders
are all about. I could not find the book
on many book store shelves. When I did, I didn’t want to buy it in fear that I would
be spending money on a worthless story. Later on, my friend asked me if I have ever
heard of the book Radiate. I said yeah,
obviously. She told me she bought it online. She finished it in less than a week. I figured
this had to be a good read. I asked her if I could borrow it and she brought it
to me last night. I can’t put this book down. Every chapter has drawn me
further into the story. It begins with a senior named Hayley who has been in
band since her freshman year. Senior year she wants to stand out and be
different, so she tried out for cheerleading. Hayley worked all year to become
a better gymnast and now is the time to try out. I won’t spoil the rest of the
storyline that I know about the book, so read it for yourself. I am only on
chapter 4, but I am already determined it is an amazing book. If you read the
description, it will tell you she discovers cancer in her leg. The story is so
much more than that. It is a motivational book for any cheerleader. Something I
really enjoy is that at the beginning of every chapter there is a motivational
quote. At so many points in this book you will say to yourself, “Yeah I told
you so!” to all of those pesky people who don’t believe a word you say about
cheerleading. For any cheerleader, this would be the perfect book to read.
Highly recommended by me!
