My First Competition Practice.

Later today, I will have my first competition practice. Competition cheer has been a dream of mine for a long time, and now I finally get to live that dream. Being in royal blue and green for my new team will make me happy. We have a long time until our first competition, but we have to begin early to master our routines to win 1st place. Since this is my first practice, I also have to meet a whole new team. Should I be nervous? Is competition the right place for me? I think I will be fine, but you never know. I do believe competition cheer is going to make my schedule more compact, but it keeps me busy and out of trouble. People say when you go to cheer practice you can relieve all your life’s stress and troubles. Adding another day of my week to cheer means more days to trash my troubles and worries. Will I have to worry about my routine? If cheer is a stress reliever, what happens if I get stressed at cheer? I don’t know all the answers but would love to know what everyone thinks. Comment or send me an email at zachbingaman@gmail.com. Later Gators!

My Motivation.

I am motivated by this. Whenever I am having a rough day or I get down, this pictures lifts me up.

PSU.

This college is where I dream to go. I have always wanted to cheer for Penn State.

An Amazing Read!

I am not a big reader, but when I heard about the book Radiate by Marley Gibson, I was interested to find a book about cheerleading that really showed what cheerleaders are all about.  I could not find the book on many book store shelves. When I did, I didn’t want to buy it in fear that I would be spending money on a worthless story. Later on, my friend asked me if I have ever heard of the book Radiate. I said yeah, obviously. She told me she bought it online.  She finished it in less than a week. I figured this had to be a good read. I asked her if I could borrow it and she brought it to me last night. I can’t put this book down. Every chapter has drawn me further into the story. It begins with a senior named Hayley who has been in band since her freshman year. Senior year she wants to stand out and be different, so she tried out for cheerleading. Hayley worked all year to become a better gymnast and now is the time to try out. I won’t spoil the rest of the storyline that I know about the book, so read it for yourself. I am only on chapter 4, but I am already determined it is an amazing book. If you read the description, it will tell you she discovers cancer in her leg. The story is so much more than that. It is a motivational book for any cheerleader. Something I really enjoy is that at the beginning of every chapter there is a motivational quote. At so many points in this book you will say to yourself, “Yeah I told you so!” to all of those pesky people who don’t believe a word you say about cheerleading. For any cheerleader, this would be the perfect book to read. Highly recommended by me!
